Good guys turning bad is ook iets wat zeker van toepassing komt in misdaad films. Personages die overlopen van de goede kant naar de slechte kant en ook zeker andersom. Allemaal trucjes waardoor de kijker op het verkeerde been wordt gezet voor als de misdaad wordt gepleegd.
